The Final Markdown is honored to be a Corporate Sponsor of Operation Gratitude, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that sends care packages to our brave troops overseas.  Most importantly, each package includes letters of encouragement from appreciative citizens.  Their 300,000th box will be packed on Saturday, Dec. 15!

Their mission is to “lift troop morale and express the appreciation of the American people for the sacrifices of the men and women defending our freedom.”

The Final Markdown donated 150,000 blank greeting cards so the troops could have something to send to their friends and family back home.  (Any card they send back is at no charge to them.)

Actor Ben Affleck helped kick off the 2007 Holiday Drive, joining the volunteers on the assembly line filling packages.  He spoke about his experience on the Live With Regis and Kelly show on Tue. Dec. 4.
